Job Description

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer Sheet Metal

Qualifications:

Education: BE / ME in Mechanical Engineering
Design Tools: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Core Expertise: Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, materials, and manufacturing principles

Experience:

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design and develop sheet metal components as per project requirements
Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
Interpret client specifications and provide timely updates on project progress
Select appropriate materials and ensure designs are fabrication-ready
Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Collaborate with production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure material availability
Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback for improvement
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
Initiate and review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to resolve issues and implement

enhancements.
