Sr. Design Engineer - Electrical

As an Electrical Engineer, your role involves preparing pre-bid engineering for tender documents and raising queries to the Client/Consultant. This includes attending pre-bid meetings, clarifying doubts, and visiting project sites with the Client for further understanding. Your responsibilities also include: - Generating competitive Bill of Quantities (BOQ), design calculations, and technical deliverables tailored to the Electrical System scope of work outlined in the Tender, ensuring optimization. - Coordinating with internal departments to finalize design inputs related to Electrical design from Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Instrumentation teams. - Conducting detailed engineering activities within the scheduled timelines specified in the Document Control Index (DCI), producing design calculations, documents, and engineering drawings. - Submitting design drawings and documents to the client for approval, addressing and incorporating Client/Consultant feedback, and providing technical clarifications supported by relevant documents. - Releasing purchase requisitions (PR) for Electrical Equipment based on approved design documents and drawings. - Reviewing vendor offers in alignment with contract specifications, collaborating with Business Units for Procurement initiation. - Creating Technical comparison statements and obtaining vendor drawing approvals from the Client to proceed with manufacturing clearance. - Analyzing existing systems or developing new system designs to meet client requirements effectively. - Visiting Client/Consultant offices to secure approvals for engineering documents. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. - Proficiency in design calculations, technical documentation, and engineering drawings. - Strong communication skills to interact with internal departments, clients, and vendors effectively. - Ability to manage multiple tasks within established timelines. - Experience in tender document preparation and vendor management will be an advantage.
