Job Description

As a Senior Business Analyst at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence in the digital landscape. Your main responsibility will be to utilize cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. To excel in this role, you should possess the following experience and skills: - Experienced Business Analyst with a focus on both business and technology. - Proficiency in defining future state processes, identifying and analyzing functional requirements. - Ability to write SQL queries and analyze Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). - Experience in engaging with a diverse stakeholder group and collaborating closely with technology delivery teams to meet requirements. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Proficient in using Microsoft packages such as Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Visio. Desirable skillsets that would be beneficial for the role include: - Degree level education or equivalent, with knowledge of loan syndication, origination, and trading. - Experience in managing requirements in Jira and documentation in Confluence. - Familiarity with project management tools and techniques, including waterfall and agile methodologies. This position will be based in Pune and will involve supporting the organization in achieving its strategic objectives by identifying business requirements and proposing solutions to address business challenges and opportunities. Your key accountabilities will include: - Identifying and analyzing business problems and client requirements necessitating change within the organization. - Developing business requirements to tackle business problems and opportunities. - Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet their needs. - Supporting the creation of business cases justifying investment in proposed solutions. - Conducting feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions. - Creating operational and process designs to ensure solutions are delivered within scope. - Assisting in change management activities to successfully implement proposed solutions and embed them in the organization. As an Assistant Vice President, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness. If in a leadership role, you will lead a team, set objectives, coach employees, and drive performance. For individual contributors, you will lead collaborative assignments, guide team members, and identify new directions for projects.
