Job Description

BIM Electrical Specialist


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage

    3D electrical models

    using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and BIM 360 .
  • Create

    electrical layouts

    , schematics, conduit/tray routing, panel schedules, and lighting and ELV systems.
  • Prepare electrical circuit layouts, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Ensure

    clash detection and resolution

    by coordinating with other MEP disciplines.
  • Generate

    shop drawings, as-built drawings, and installation drawings

    based on design models.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors for

    BIM execution and coordination

    .
  • Follow project-specific

    BIM standards, LOD requirements

    , and

    documentation protocols

    .


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in

    Electrical Engineering

    or a related field.
  • Minimum 4

    -6 years

    of experience in BIM electrical modelling for MEP projects.
  • Proficiency in

    Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360, Di-Roots, Dynamo

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and cable routing

    .
  • Experience with

    clash detection, coordination, and multidisciplinary collaboration

    .
  • Knowledge of

    BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and Level of Development (LOD) requirements

    .
