Are you an expert in Oracle Database technologies with a strong background in Exadata and cloud infrastructureAre you excited about working on next-generation database services that are highly autonomous, scalable, and reliable We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Autonomous Database Engineer to join our team responsible for delivering and operating Oracles leading Autonomous Database services, including Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) and Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP) . You will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing mission-critical database systems with a strong focus on core DBA tasks , Exadata architecture , and cloud-based operations . This role requires in-depth technical knowledge across Oracle Engineered Systems, database internals, cloud infrastructure, and automation best practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong expertise in Oracle Core DBA functions including performance tuning, backup/recovery (RMAN), RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata , including implementation, administration, patching, and optimization. Solid experience working with Oracle Clusterware (GI) and Oracle RDBMS in high-availability environments. Advanced scripting skills in Shell , Python , and/or Perl for automation and diagnostics. Operational experience in Linux-based systems (OEL, RHEL), with a strong understanding of internals and performance. Experience with virtualized and container-based systems such as KVM , OVM , Docker . Exposure to cloud platforms , especially Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) ; experience with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus. Preferred Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical mindset and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Experience with distributed system design and troubleshooting at scale. Working knowledge of SLAs, SLOs, and observability practices (monitoring, logging, alerting). Ability to write clear technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Passion for continuous learning, innovation, and automation. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end lifecycle operations for Oracle Autonomous Database services, including provisioning, scaling, monitoring, patching, and incident resolution. Deliver and support highly available, high-performance Oracle database solutions on Exadata infrastructure in the Oracle Cloud (OCI) environment. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across database, OS, and infrastructure layers. Build and maintain automation for system deployment, maintenance, and monitoring to drive operational efficiency. Contribute to service capacity planning, performance tuning, and reliability engineering efforts. Create and implement best practices and reference architectures for database and infrastructure operations. Participate in research, prototyping, and performance benchmarking of distributed database environments. Ensure compliance with security standards and implement system hardening and backup/recovery strategies. Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments and critical customer workloads.
