Sr Associate Software Engineering

Job Description:

We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with experience in supporting Citrix and Java environments to maintain and enhance legacy enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in Citrix Metaframe and Java application support, with strong scripting and UNIX skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancement of applications hosted on Citrix Metaframe and Java platforms.
• Analyze application issues and collaborate with teams to implement solutions and minor enhancements.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC focused on operational support and stability.
• Maintain Citrix Metaframe environments and UNIX/Solaris servers.
• Develop and maintain shell/Perl scripts for automation and maintenance.
• Document architecture, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures.
• Collaborate in agile teams to resolve production issues and deliver process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience supporting Citrix Metaframe and Java applications.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Solaris administration.
• Scripting with shell and Perl.
• Experience with application monitoring and basic Citrix troubleshooting.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to C++ support tasks.
• Familiarity with middleware platforms such as WebLogic and WebSphere.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
