Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead a team of academic counselors. As the Team Lead for Academic Counseling, you will oversee a team that provides guidance to students in making informed decisions about their academic career paths. Your role will involve managing team performance, ensuring high-quality counseling services, and providing leadership to improve student satisfaction and success. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of academic counselors, providing guidance, support, and regular performance feedback. Ensure the team works cohesively to meet department goals and objectives. Counseling and Support: Act as a senior counselor to provide students with advice regarding course selection, degree planning, career pathways, and academic challenges. Offer in-depth counseling to students facing complex academic issues. Training and Development: Oversee the continuous training and professional development of team members. Foster a positive, supportive, and results-driven team environment. Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of academic counseling services delivered by the team. Ensure that services meet institutional standards, and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including faculty, admissions, and student services, to ensure a seamless and holistic experience for students. Provide support for students’ transition and adjustment to academic life. Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, student progress, and team performance. Prepare reports and provide insights to senior management about counseling trends, team achievements, and areas for improvement. Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any conflicts or concerns raised by students or team members in a professional and effective manner. Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensure that all academic counseling practices comply with the institution’s policies and procedures.
