Role & responsibilities

• Installation and Configuration:

  Setting up and configuring SQL Server instances and databases.

• Monitoring:

  Continuously monitoring database performance, resource usage, and identifying potential issues.

• Performance Tuning:

  Optimizing database performance through query tuning, indexing, and server configuration adjustments.

• Backup and Recovery:

  Implementing and maintaining robust backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime.

• Security:

  Implementing and enforcing security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.

• Troubleshooting:

  Investigating and resolving database-related issues in a timely manner.

• Documentation:

  Maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Collaboration:

• Working with Developers:

  Collaborating with developers on database design, schema changes, and performance issues.

• Capacity Planning:

  Monitoring database growth trends and planning for future capacity needs.

• Automation:

  Developing and maintaining scripts for automating routine tasks.

• Implementing High Availability Solutions:

  Implementing and managing high availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, clustering) to minimize downtime.

• Disaster Recovery Planning:
