As a SQL Database Administrator (DBA) , you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our organization s SQL server database systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting SQL databases. You ll ensure high availability, data integrity, and efficient performance across our database infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Database Design and Implementation:

• Design and implement SQL databases based on end users information needs and views.
• Define user roles and permissions, ensuring data distribution to the right users in an appropriate format and timely manner.
• High Availability and Backup:

• Build and maintain database systems with high availability and quality.
• Implement high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data regularly.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters for fast query responses.

Data Security and Integrity:

• Proactively manage data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Enforce and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Perform regular tests and evaluations to ensure data protection.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Apply patches and version updates as needed.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize SQL queries.

SQL Server Upgrades and Migrations:

• Plan and execute SQL server upgrades and migrations.
• Ensure seamless transitions while maintaining data consistency and integrity.

User Support and Training:

• Provide data management support and training to end users.
• Assist users with troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in SQL databases.
• Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
• Bachelor s degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
