Position Summary:

Sports Coach

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching & Training

• Plan, organize, and deliver effective training sessions tailored to the age, skill level, and goals of the athletes.
  
• Teach techniques, tactics, rules, and strategies of the sport.
  
• Prepare athletes and teams for competitions, tournaments, and events.
  
• Monitor and assess individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback.
  

Talent Development

• Identify and nurture talent at various levels of ability.
  
• Design training programs to develop strength, conditioning, agility, and sport-specific skills.
  
• Encourage continuous improvement and goal-setting among athletes.

Health & Safety

• Promote injury prevention and ensure a safe training environment.
  
• Administer basic first aid and respond appropriately to injuries and emergencies.
  
• Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
  

Team & Athlete Management

• Build positive relationships with athletes, parents, and staff.
  
• Promote discipline, teamwork, respect, and fair play.
  
• Address behavioral issues and promote mental resilience.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

• Diploma or degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Coaching, or a related field.
  
• Coaching certification from a recognized body (e.g., UEFA, IAAF, NSCA, ASCA, national sports federations).
  
• Proven coaching experience in [Insert Sport] at school, club, or professional level.
  
• Strong knowledge of the rules, techniques, and strategies of the sport.
  

Desirable:

• First Aid/CPR certification.
  
• Experience in strength and conditioning programs.
  
• Background in youth development or academic environments.
  
• Experience in planning competitive schedules and managing teams in tournaments.
