Job Description

The Pediatric Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders in infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents. The role focuses on supporting developmental milestones and improving functional communication skills in collaboration with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive pediatric speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, social communication, and feeding/swallowing assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate treatment plans
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to pediatric populations
  • Monitor and document patient progress; adjust therapy plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Educate and train parents, caregivers, and teachers on therapy strategies and home programs
  • Collaborate with pediatricians, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other professionals
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when applicable
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with organizational, legal, and ethical standards
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and child-friendly therapy environment

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Specialized training or coursework in pediatric speech and language disorders preferred

Experience:

  • Experience providing speech and language therapy to pediatric populations preferred
  • Familiarity with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, and feeding challenges

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong rapport-building skills with children and families
  • Creativity in therapy planning and delivery
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Working Conditions:

  • Work settings may include outpatient pediatric clinics, schools, early intervention programs, hospitals, or home-based services
  • May involve floor-based therapy, lifting or positioning children, and active engagement during sessions

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation based on experience and credentials

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
