Specialist - Molecular Biology

Role Overview: As a Specialist in the Molecular Biology team, you will be responsible for independently designing and executing various molecular biology strategies to produce engineered antibodies, enzymes, structural and reagent proteins, and mutant strains. You will lead with expertise in gene synthesis, cloning, vector design, and mutagenesis, utilizing your knowledge in areas like CRISPR-based prokaryotic mutants, antibody gene sequencing, and protein engineering. Your role will involve innovating and problem-solving using sequence data analysis, gene expression analysis (Real-time PCR), and protein engineering to overcome complex challenges. Additionally, you will manage end-to-end processes from plasmid production and purification to strain and metabolic engineering, with a focus on microbial, yeast, and fungal strains. Leading and mentoring a team of molecular biologists, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, and clients, and ensuring project success will also be key aspects of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute a variety of molecular biology strategies independently - Utilize deep knowledge in gene synthesis, cloning, vector design, and mutagenesis - Apply expertise in sequence data analysis, gene expression analysis, and protein engineering to solve complex challenges - Oversee the entire process from plasmid production and purification to strain and metabolic engineering - Lead and motivate a team of molecular biologists, setting high standards for technical content, R&D, and data integrity - Work effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, and clients to present data, share project updates, and ensure project success Qualification Required: - Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences - 2-3 years of hands-on industrial or academic experience - Proven experience in designing and executing complex molecular biology projects - In-depth knowledge of gene synthesis, cloning, and vector design - Experience in generating CRISPR-based mutants in prokaryotes - Expertise in sequence data analysis and gene expression analysis (Real-time PCR) - Experience with plasmid production and chromatographic purification is desirable - Knowledge of Phage/Yeast display libraries is a plus - Familiarity with automation and high-throughput instrumentation is preferred Additional Details: N/A,
