As a Specialist in UK Underwriting Support at MetLife GOSC in Jaipur, your role involves picking the new business requests that have been declined or referred by the online portal due to failing the risk factor. Your responsibilities include checking additional flags and related information to make a decision on approving the request, enabling brokers to obtain quotations, and providing administrative support to assist in the process. This position is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail who aspire to grow into senior initial underwriters or pricing underwriters. **Key Responsibilities:** - Checking the reason for portal deferred cases and determining the next steps - Proactively managing work volumes to ensure compliance with service level agreements - Interpreting information from customer requests and applying them to standard procedures - Providing administrative support to Underwriters - Collaborating with internal departments within Sales & Operations as needed **Qualifications Required:** - Education: Bachelor's degree in any stream or diploma with a minimum of 15 years of education - Preferred: Financial services qualifications or equivalent, such as GR1 or other CII qualifications - Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in an underwriting function - Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work efficiently with attention to detail, organization skills, multitasking abilities, self-motivation, high accuracy levels, strong educational background in English and Mathematics At MetLife, a globally recognized financial services company, our purpose is to help colleagues, customers, communities, and the world create a more confident future.
