Developer Advocacy and User Onboarding - Act as the primary advocate for the IDP, ensuring its value and benefits are we'll understood across the organization.
- Proactively engage with internal stakeholders and developer teams to promote platform usability and adoption.
- Lead interactive demos, workshops, and presentations to onboard potential users.
- Gather and address user feedback to iteratively improve the platform s features, developer experience, and tooling.
- Work closely with internal teams to create and maintain comprehensive onboarding materials, including documentation, training modules, and tutorials.
Platform Promotion and Pre-Sales Mindset - Act as a solution promoter, identifying opportunities to showcase platform strengths and crafting custom solutions to meet user needs.
- Build solid relationships with internal teams by understanding their workflows, challenges, and goals, and aligning these with the platform s capabilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new use cases for the platform and communicate these effectively.
- Serve as a liaison between the engineering team and the internal userbase to create awareness and adoption of platform features.
Continuous Improvement of Developer Experience - Relate and maintain a single pane of glass for developers by leveraging tools like Backstage, streamlining access to pipelines, APIs, and documentation.
- Continuously optimize the platform for ease of use, ensuring quick onboarding and self-service capabilities for developers.
- Collaborate with the development team to roll out new features that enhance developer productivity and address pain points.
Technical Enablement and Support - Partner with internal development, security, and operations teams to ensure alignment on platform goals and technical solutions.
- Build, maintain, and document robust CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery with security best practices embedded.
- Support platform users in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to onboarding, pipelines, and integrations.
Showcase DevOps and Security Best Practices - Champion the adoption of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and security practices across teams.
- Highlight the importance of containerization, orchestration technologies (eg, Docker, OpenShift), and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
Artifact Management and Integration - Implement and manage seamless integration with artifact management tools like JFrog Artifactory or similar solutions.
- Promote best practices in artifact management by streamlining workflows for publishing, sharing, and consuming artifacts across teams.
- Ensure security and compliance by integrating vulnerability scanning and access controls into artifact repositories.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth onboarding and utilization of artifact repositories in CI/CD pipelines.
Your Profile - Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and developers alike.
- Proven experience in pre-sales engineering, customer success, or developer advocacy roles.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Experience crafting engaging technical documentation, tutorials, and training sessions.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with platforms like OpenShift, GitLab, GitHub, and Backstage.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitLab CI, GitHubActions, ArgoCD and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with security scanning tools (eg, SonarQube, Blackduck)and OAuth for secure authentication/authorization.
- Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, including Infrastructure-as-Code(IaC) and container orchestration.
- Competence in monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure platform reliability.
- Strong focus on collaboration, empathy, and active listening to build trust with platform users.
- Adaptability to work with diverse teams and ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly solutions.
