Job Description

In this vital role, we are seeking a skilled and driven VDI Engineer with subject matter expertise in Windows 365 to join our growing team. In this role, you will own the technical design, optimization, and support of Amgens Cloud PC service while working with functional teams in network security, data networking, and identity management. Proficiency in Azure cloud services, desktop engineering, and advanced troubleshooting are essential.
Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as the SME for Windows 365, leading technical strategy, implementation, and support
Design, deploy, and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience
Collaborate with development resources on design and maintenance of VDI automation built with Azure Functions in .NET
Provide Tier 3 support and resolve escalated technical issues related to Cloud PC and VDI environments
Continually optimize service functions and integrations
Supply innovative ideas to address evolving requirements
Stay current with Microsoft and industry trends to ensure best practices and continuous improvement of the virtual desktop strategy
Create and maintain detailed documentation

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree Master's degree Bachelor's degree and 8 to 13 years in Information systems
Functional Skills

Deep knowledge of VDI solution management and desktop engineering
At least two years of experience in administering Windows 365
Advanced desktop and VDI troubleshooting skills
Understanding of Microsoft Azure services
Competence with Windows server administration and PowerShell scripting
Familiarity with enterprise networking and network security
Familiarity with change management and IT best practices

Professional Certifications

Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for Teams (preferred)

Soft Skills

High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
Team-oriented with a focus on achieving team goals
Ability to work effectively with global and virtual teams
