Job Description

Duties: This senior-level individual contributor will be responsible for leading demand intake, prioritization, and stakeholder communications across Engineering and Environmental Health and Safety function. This role will work closely with platform owners, delivery teams, product owners, leadership, vendors, Infrastructure leads, solution architects to ensure smooth coordination, tracking, and visibility of incoming requests and project delivery, sustainment operations and communications.

A core part of this role involves developing and handling structured communication plans to support change readiness, adoption, and awareness of product enhancements and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in demand and portfolio management, communication planning, and product delivery alignment in complex, multi-functional environments.

  • Partner with the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) organization to understand business processes, compliance requirements, and operational needs.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for EHS applications, safety incident management systems, and compliance tracking solutions.
  • Translate EHS business needs into functional and technical specifications to support system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate Generative AI (GenAI) and advanced technologies into EHS processes for improved efficiency, automation, and insights.
  • Develop and deploy GenAI-enabled solutions for use cases such as:
    • Safety incident reporting and root-cause analysis.
    • Automated document generation (policies, SOPs, safety protocols).
    • Intelligent dashboards and predictive analytics for risk management.
  • Ensure that AI-driven solutions align with data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance standards
  • Act as a liaison between EHS stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment of system capabilities with organizational goals.
  • Lead workshops, training sessions, and demos to educate EHS users on AI-enabled tools and system functionality.
  • Support change management by creating documentation, user guides, and communications for new AI-driven processes.
  • Ensure EHS systems comply with regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, GxP, ISO, and other industry guidelines).
  • Partner with internal audit, compliance, and security teams to support system audits, risk assessments, and data governance initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and emerging AI capabilities to drive innovation and efficiency in EHS operations.
  • Monitor delivery performance metrics (e.g., demand aging, throughput, alignment to priorities) and use them to drive improvements in work intake and delivery planning.
  • Ensure demand-related governance processes are followed, with appropriate documentation, prioritization workflows, and approvals.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

  • Masters degree in information systems, Computer Science, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8-13 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, IS Analyst, or IT/EHS systems specialist, preferably in a regulated industry (pharma, biotech, healthcare, or manufacturing).
  • Experience supporting EHS systems and compliance platforms (e.g., Enablon, Sphera, Intelex, or similar).

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with big data technologies, AI platforms, and cloud-based data solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively across matrixed organizations and lead collaboration between data and AI teams.
  • Passion for technology and customer success, particularly in driving innovative AI and data solutions.
  • Experience working with teams of data scientists, software engineers and business experts to drive insights
  • Experience with AWS Services such as EC2, S3, Redshift/Spectrum, Glue, Athena, RDS, Lambda, and API gateway.
  • Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Spark, etc)
  • Strong understanding of relevant data standards and industry trends
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or ITIL certifications. Understanding of EHS regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GxP).
  • Experience in risk management, incident reporting, and audit readiness.
  • Awareness of AI governance, data privacy, and security requirements in regulated environments.
