The role covers responsibilities including working as the Fund Dealing Change Operational SME and as a part of the cross-functional team (Project Scrum) for the relevant Operational process area. The person would represent the
Fund Dealing process and work closely with the Technology and Business Teams and senior stakeholders to deliver change as part of Tahoe Releases. The person must collaborate closely with the stakeholders from Technology, Operations (Business), and Propositions, to ensure there is a clear understanding of the features and specifications that need to be included in the code base, have the same tested in the lower production environments, and plan and conduct the business readiness later by acting as a bridge between the Technology and Operations, so that the change lands effectively for our end-users with no or minimal impact on the downstream systems.
The successful candidate has to possess strong technical understanding of the processes and technology used with in Dealing, proven track record in delivering and implementing system changes, proficient with testing strategies like functional, regression and integration system testing, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to deliver in tight timelines and adapt to changing circumstances in order to ensure a smooth efficient change agenda.The person responsible has to work on delivering Tahoe Project and keep Stakeholders abreast of all the progress, challenges, Risks highlighted as part of the project and ensure operational readiness are completed and agreed with the process owners. This challenging and hands on role would suit an individual looking for a role that is varied, no two days are the same whilst gaining experience across PI&A, Workplace Investing and Technology. It is expected that Specialist will be able to identify and suggest improvement opportunities to make the process more efficient.
About you
- A tenured Subject matter expert within Global Financial Industry (especially UK) with focus on mutual funds with atleast 4-5 years of experience in Customer Operations Team.
- Good understanding of Functional Requirements and Design Documents.
- Hands on Experience on preparing MI reports on the Change Agenda (PowerPoint presentations, Excel, Power BI)
- Preparation and execution of Test Cases, Functional, Integration, and System Testing.
- Experience of managing the Operational readiness activities i.e., creation of standard operating procedures and training the users to implement change
- Team player, but able to work unsupervised or in virtual teams and scrums
- Tenacious self-starter with a sense of ownership and accountability with a strong bias towards action and results
- Excellent communication skills as well as ability to create and present options in professional, clear and concise fashion to aid stakeholder engagement, and enable effective decision making
- Strong product and proposition knowledge and understanding of the principles of Digital First, web-based journeys, and STP automation
- Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail (e.g. ability to recognise erroneous data within analysis)
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (Excel, Zypher, JIRA, Confluence)
