Special Educator Remedial Teaching

Role Overview: You will be responsible for understanding each student's specific needs and learning gaps, conducting assessments and evaluations of cognitive, social, physical, ADLs, language, and communication abilities, and determining the current level of functioning. Additionally, you will be expected to write S.M.A.R.T. goals, deliver appropriate IEPs, maintain records, and conduct effective group and individual teaching sessions in areas of language and mathematics for Primary/Elementary and Middle wing students. You will also be required to create teaching aids and resources. Key Responsibilities: - Understand each student's specific needs and learning gaps - Conduct assessments and evaluations of cognitive, social, physical, ADLs, language, and communication abilities - Write S.M.A.R.T. goals and deliver appropriate IEPs - Maintain records of students" files and attendance - Conduct effective group and individual teaching sessions in language and mathematics for Primary/Elementary and Middle wing students - Create teaching aids and resources Qualifications Required: - Graduate/Postgraduate, preferably in Maths/Science - B.Ed/M.Ed in Special Education - Appreciable knowledge of IT skills to create resources, power-points, and slides Additional Details: This is a temporary position for a duration of 6 months covering a maternity leave vacancy. Post this period, you may be offered a full-time position subject to available vacancies in the future.
