Special Educator Remedial Teaching

Role Overview: You will be responsible for understanding each student's specific needs and learning gaps, assessing and evaluating their cognitive, social, physical, ADLs, language, and communication abilities, and current level of functioning. You will be tasked with writing S.M.A.R.T. goals, delivering appropriate IEPs to address current needs, and bridge learning gaps. Additionally, you will be required to handle report writing, maintain records of students" files and attendance, and conduct effective group and individual teaching in areas of language and mathematics for primary/elementary and middle wing students. Making resources and teaching aids will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Understand each student's specific needs and learning gaps - Assess and evaluate students" cognitive, social, physical, ADLs, language, and communication abilities - Write S.M.A.R.T. goals and deliver appropriate IEPs - Maintain records of students" files and attendance - Conduct effective group and individual teaching in language and mathematics for primary/elementary and middle wing - Create resources and teaching aids Qualifications Required: - Graduate/Postgraduate, preferably in Maths/Science - B.Ed/M.Ed in Special Education - Appreciable knowledge of IT skills to create resources, power-points, and slides Additional Details: This is a temporary position for a duration of 6 months to cover a maternity leave vacancy. Upon completion of the temporary period, you may be offered a full-time position subject to availability. Candidates with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Special Educator are preferred. The working days are Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 2:30 pm, with a stay back required till 4:30 pm on Fridays. Immediate joining is expected.
