As an Education Specialist, your role will involve assessing student needs, conducting evaluations to understand strengths, challenges, and learning styles. You will collaborate with psychologists, therapists, and teachers to develop appropriate learning plans and create Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements. Setting measurable goals, monitoring progress regularly, and providing specialized instruction are essential responsibilities in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to suit diverse learning abilities - Using assistive technology and alternative teaching methods to enhance learning - Helping students develop essential life skills, self-confidence, and independence - Addressing behavioral challenges with positive reinforcement strategies - Working closely with general educators, school counselors, therapists, and parents - Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment - Implementing behavior intervention plans when needed - Ensuring students receive appropriate accommodations and support services - Raising awareness about special education needs among school staff and families - Documenting student progress, challenges, and adjustments in the learning plan - Ensuring compliance with educational policies and special education regulations Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field - Certification in Special Education - Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) - Knowledge of educational policies and special education regulations The company values a collaborative approach with stakeholders, maintaining a supportive environment for students' growth and development.
