Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a caring and proactive Special Needs Teacher to join our partner school in the USA. As a Special Needs Teacher, you will collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to assist students with additional learning needs, enabling them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. Your responsibilities will include delivering tailored lessons, providing one-on-one or small group support to students with learning challenges, aiding students with tasks, organization, and behavior management, fostering the development of social and communication skills, and assisting in the preparation and utilization of learning materials. Additionally, you will monitor student progress, communicate observations to teaching staff, cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment, and engage in team meetings and training sessions as necessary. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited 4-year university (a Master's Degree is preferred) and possess a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a special needs classroom or working with students requiring special education support. A Credential Evaluation report for the USA is desirable. Key skills for this role include patience, empathy, strong interpersonal abilities, the capacity to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
