You are a skilled and passionate South Indian Cook seeking to join our kitchen team at Swathi Pure Veg Restaurant in Mangalore, Karnataka. Your role involves expertise in preparing traditional South Indian dishes like dosas, idlis, vadas, sambar, and other regional specialties. You must maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene throughout your work. Your responsibilities will include cooking a variety of South Indian meals, following established recipes for consistency, managing kitchen ingredients and inventory, presenting dishes in an appealing manner, maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards, managing time efficiently during peak hours, collaborating with kitchen staff, and ensuring proper maintenance of cooking equipment. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience as a South Indian cook, a strong knowledge of South Indian spices and cooking techniques, the ability to work in high-volume settings, good understanding of food safety standards, efficient kitchen management skills, flexibility to work varied shifts, strong organizational skills, and a positive attitude while working in a team. Preferred skills include experience with South Indian-specific cooking equipment, knowledge of regional variations in South Indian cuisine, and the ability to innovate with new recipes.
