Job Description

Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as idli, dosa, vada, uttapam, sambhar, rasam, chutneys, upma, pongal, and various curries. Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes. Manage kitchen operations related to South Indian cuisine, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen as per food safety regulations. Plan and prepare ingredients, ensuring minimal wastage and cost control. Innovate and add variety to the South Indian menu while keeping traditional flavors intact. Work in coordination with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation. Monitor inventory and assist in ordering raw materials and groceries. Requirements: Proven experience as a South Indian Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setup. Expertise in preparing authentic South Indian vegetarian dishes. Knowledge of traditional cooking techniques, spices, and flavors of South India. Ability to handle pressure during peak hours. Strong attention to detail and passion for cooking. Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene practices.
