Sous Chef - Pastry

As a dynamic, outgoing, and enthusiastic Sous Chef Pastry with a strong background and experience in Pastry and Culinary for Hospitality, you will be joining our energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate team at Grand Hyatt Bali. Your role will involve overseeing the supply and production of baked goods and pastries, supervising and training the team to create memorable and high-quality food, as well as handling responsibilities such as hiring, scheduling, coaching, and development. Reporting directly to the Pastry Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring that culinary activities align with the respective Corporate Strategy and that Hotel Actions are implemented where appropriate. You will handle guest and employee inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, addressing complaints or problems with a prompt follow-up. Collaboration with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner is crucial, with a focus on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Your role will involve frequently tasting bakery and pastry products in all outlets, maintaining high standards of personal presentation and grooming, and demonstrating strong leadership skills to train and develop the team effectively. Proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken, is essential, along with experience working with Property Management Systems such as BIRCHSTREET and other relevant systems. Your proven track record of working within timelines and targets, coupled with your conscientious and diligent approach, will be highly valued. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 1 year of solid experience as a Sous Chef Pastry in a large 5-star luxury hotel or resort. A solid background in a high-demand business environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to act as a role model are essential. A Diploma in Hospitality or a related field is required, and a Bachelor's Degree would be a plus.,
