Job Title: Sous Chef – Arabic Cuisine

Location: M Grill Multi-Cuisine Restaurant, Calicut

Job Summary

The Sous Chef – Arabic Cuisine will assist the Executive Chef in planning, preparing, and executing authentic Arabic dishes with creativity and consistency. The role requires deep knowledge of traditional Arabic cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles while ensuring high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and developing the Arabic cuisine menu, introducing new and innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity.
• Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth functioning of the Arabic section.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Train and guide kitchen staff in Arabic culinary techniques and recipes.
• Monitor inventory, food costs, and wastage, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards as per FSSAI guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other departments to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Assist in special events, buffet setups, and catering functions involving Arabic cuisine.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management.
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie specializing in Arabic cuisine.
• Strong knowledge of Middle Eastern and Gulf regional dishes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards during busy operations.
• Passion for food innovation and authentic culinary presentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
