Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manage
end-to-end sourcing
and procurement of goods and services through
GeM Portal
and conventional purchase methods.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new
vendors/suppliers
for direct and indirect materials.
Conduct
vendor assessment, negotiation, and contract finalization
to ensure best cost, quality, and delivery terms.
Float tenders, RFQs, and comparative analysis for vendor selection.
Participate in
GeM bid submissions
and ensure all related documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate with internal departments (Engineering, Stores, Finance, and Projects) to forecast material requirements and align sourcing strategy.
Prepare and monitor
purchase orders, rate contracts, and service agreements
in line with company policy.
Ensure compliance with
procurement policies, audit standards, and statutory norms
.
Drive
cost-saving initiatives
through alternate sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
Analyze supplier performance using defined KPIs (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost variance).
Maintain purchase records, vendor database, and reporting dashboards using
SAP / ERP systems
.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Proven experience in
GeM portal procurement
tendering, bid participation, and order management.
Strong knowledge of
vendor development, purchase processes
, and rate contract management.
Excellent
negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
.
Familiarity with
SAP (MM module)
or similar ERP tools.
Ability to handle multiple sourcing projects and meet strict timelines.
Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting capabilities.
