As a Sourcing and Costing Engineer specializing in Chemical Commodity for Exterior and Interior components, your role involves working on the cost estimation of trim components like Exterior Trim, Interior Trim, Cockpit/ Instrument Panel Assembly, Soft Trims, and NVH Acoustic Components for new projects. You will need to adhere to submission dates while ensuring cost management in the Chemical commodity sector. **Key Responsibilities:** - Working on the cost estimation of trim components for new projects based on standard norms. - Utilizing expertise in part costing techniques and cost management for Chemical commodity. - Managing RM, Process, MHR, Markups, and data effectively. - Demonstrating process knowledge in various techniques such as Injection Molding, Plastic Painting, Plastic Welding Processes, PU Molding, Vacuum Forming, Blow Molding, Thermoforming, and Thermosetting. - Applying excellent data analytical skills and high-level problem-solving abilities to think out-of-the-box. - Utilizing costing software like TcPCM for accurate cost estimations. - Estimating costs on key drivers and using extrapolation and reference part costing references for business case estimation. - Preparing cost matrices and planning effectively. - Monitoring costs from business case to vehicle launch. - Analyzing SOR/ Drawings, BOM, Process Assumptions, and Mold Specifications for components. - Estimating the cost of assembly and child parts using standard guidelines across sub-Systems. - Driving materials cost competitiveness for new project parts. - Implementing process improvements through the release of procedures and guidelines. - Demystifying product/process costs and fostering a collaborative approach through networking skills. **Qualifications Required:** - 5-12 years of experience in a similar role. - Expertise in part costing techniques and cost management for Chemical commodity. - Knowledge of costing software like TcPCM. - Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as Injection Molding, Thermoforming, etc. As a Sourcing and Costing Engineer specializing in Chemical Commodity for Exterior and Interior components, your role involves working on the cost estimation of trim components like Exterior Trim, Interior Trim, Cockpit/ Instrument Panel Assembly, Soft Trims, and NVH Acoustic Components for new projects.
