SON Integration Engineer - 5G / RAN Optimization

Employment Type : Full Time, Permanent Working mode : Regular Notice Period : Immediate - 15 Days Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 5G RAN Optimization Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing and maintaining the performance of 5G radio networks for our clients. Your expertise in 4G/5G technologies, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will be essential to ensure network quality, capacity, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities : 5G RAN Optimization : - Hands-on experience in optimizing 4G/5G radio networks, including parameter tuning, interference management, and performance analysis. - Deep understanding of 5G E2E architecture options and RF planning principles. - Proficient in utilizing optimization tools and techniques to improve KPIs (e.g., coverage, capacity, latency, throughput). - Analyze and interpret RAN KPIs to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Network Planning & Design : - Participate in greenfield network design, including high-level and low-level planning. - Perform nominal planning and coverage prediction using planning tools. - Conduct capacity forecasting and network dimensioning. Performance Monitoring & Analysis : - In-depth knowledge of 4G/5G counters and KPIs. - Monitor key performance indicators (Accessibility/Retainability/Mobility KPIs) on a daily basis. - Identify and address critical issues, such as worst cell performance, through proactive measures. Drive Test Analysis : - Analyze drive test data to assess coverage, capacity, and interference. - Utilize drive test post-processing tools for in-depth analysis (e.g., cell dominant analysis, interference analysis). Project Management : - Lead small projects with limited scope and resources. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., planning, deployment, customer support). Technical Expertise : - Stay abreast of the latest advancements in 5G technologies, including new features, software releases, and industry trends. Customer Support : - Provide on-site or remote support to customers during network rollout and modernization. - Respond promptly to emergency support requests.
