Solution Architect - Senior

DESCRIPTION

The Solution Architect - Senior is responsible for assessing and applying new solution designs against defined architecture strategies, principles, policies, and standards in alignment with enterprise architecture strategies. This role defines application and solution designs for specific systems in coordination with project or product teams. The incumbent ensures solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable, while also providing technical leadership and engaging stakeholders to align business needs with technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and architecture of comprehensive analytics solutions that align with business needs and strategic objectives.
• Define component breakdown of systems, perform functional allocation to components, and establish interfaces between systems and system components.
• Apply enterprise architecture standards, including styles, stacks, and patterns, to solution designs.
• Develop multiple design solutions, perform cost/benefit analyses, and recommend optimized solutions to meet business and analytic technical requirements.
• Define reference architectures aligned with architecture standards and global building blocks.
• Drive changes in technical architecture into solution designs and ensure implementation through hands-on testing and validation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to data scientists, data engineers, and analysts, fostering best practices in machine learning and software development.
• Ensure data management solutions, machine learning models, and systems are optimized for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Oversee the integration of diverse data sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovative solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture designs, data models, and analytics solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data management, analytics, machine learning, solution architecture, or a related field.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing complex analytics solutions.
• Intermediate experience (2-4 years) in architecture and design for cloud-based platforms.
• Knowledge of Agile software development and DevSecOps is preferred.
• Experience in architecting and integrating enterprise systems and data.
• Familiarity with IoT technology is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Required:

• Expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, data integration, machine learning model management, MLOps, and DevOps.
• Proficiency in tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical methods.

Nice to have:

• Experience in Databricks, Snowflake, and Neo4J (in order of preference).
• Experience in designing cloud solutions using the Azure cloud platform.
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• College, university, or equivalent degree in a relevant technical discipline is required.
