Job Description

Solution Design:

  • Lead the technical solution design with a primary focus on the integration and maximum utilization of standard Nielsen audience measurement system components minimising customization for each client delivery.
  • Discover client needs, requirements from strategic markets and group these markets based on similarities observed. Translate client business requirements for each group into detailed technical solution architectures, archetypes covering intrinsic needs and challenges.
  • Develop compelling and technically precise solution proposals, encompassing comprehensive architecture diagrams, data flow schematics, and detailed component breakdowns.
  • Collaborate judiciously with sales, business development, and development, delivery/operations teams to ensure that proposed solutions are demonstrably feasible, scalable, extensible.
  • Present proposed solutions to both internal and external stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts with clarity, precision, and efficacy and advocating for maximum reuse of suggested solutions for client enablement and delivery teams

Audience Measurement Expertise:

  • Possess an exhaustive and in-depth knowledge of diverse Nielsen audience measurement products and services (e.g., Nielsen Total Audience or similar products from competitors in the domain), TV Ratings, Content Analytics and like.
  • Exhibit an understanding of the data methodologies, inherent capabilities, and recognized limitations pertinent to audience measurements solutions.
  • Identify optimal strategies for blending and configuration of available components to address specific client requirements.
  • Maintain an awareness of the latest advancements and enhancements within Nielsens comprehensive offerings across the ecosystem and ability to methodically catalog available offerings at all times.

Technical Architecture & Integration:

  • Design holistic, end-to-end solution architectures that seamlessly incorporate Nielsen data and system components with other salient technologies (e.g., meters, backend systems, data lakes, reporting platforms, analytics tools).
  • Define robust integration strategies and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to ensure the unimpeded and seamless flow of data between Nielsen platforms and client ecosystems which may include components from competitors.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide recommendations for appropriate components, stacks and platforms conducive to solution delivery teams.
  • Ensure that all designed solutions rigorously adhere to client SLA (as agreed in contracts), industry best practices concerning data security, privacy protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Engage in close collaboration with product management to furnish insightful feedback on Nielsen product capabilities and identify potential avenues for enhancement.
  • Partner effectively with engineering and development teams throughout the solution implementation lifecycle to ensure strict adherence to architectural design specifications.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and judicious mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional development.

Thought Leadership:

  • Contribute to the best practices and the establishment of architectural standards for audience measurement solutions.
  • Expected to be on top of available products offerings from Nielsen, emerging trends and disruptive innovations within the broader media and advertising technology landscape.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience as a Solution Architect or an analogous role.
  • Demonstrable experience of at least 5 years involving direct, hands-on engagement with audience measurement products and data. Experience of working with JICs and media companies is desirable.
  • A proven and exemplary track record of successfully designing and architecting complex, data-driven solutions in direct response to RFPs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to explain concepts with clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The capacity to operate collaboratively within a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Nielsen or alternative audience measurement or media intelligence platforms.
  • Proven experience of discovering clients needs and working on large unsolicited proposals in the media domain or responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • This role necessitates the ability to bridge the strategic business imperatives and technical capabilities, thereby ensuring that our solutions are functionally robust, fully aligned with Nielsen s strategic direction and fulfilling client business objectives.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Audience Measurement ecosystems and methodologies
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms or recognized architectural frameworks.
