We are hiring a skilled solar / wind plant design specialist with 5 plus years of hands-on experience in solar / wind energy systems design, especially in utility-scale projects. This role is critical to ensuring the technical accuracy and efficiency of solar & wind plant design and engineering activities at Indosol Solar Pvt. Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed solar PV system designs including layout, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and PVsyst.
• Develop wind plant designs including layout, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and micro-siting from standard softwares.
• Develop complete system designs for utility-scale solar PV / wind power plants, including:
• Site layout, equipment sizing, array configuration
• Cable routing, earthing, and interconnection diagrams
• Substation and grid interface design up to 132 kV (or higher)
• Perform shadow analysis for PV, wake impacts for wind, energy yield simulations, and load calculations.
• Evaluate site conditions and optimize system configuration for maximum performance and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and validate single-line diagrams (SLDs), general arrangement drawings (GAs), and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Support project teams with technical documentation and clarifications during execution.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and internal EPC teams to ensure design feasibility.
• Ensure compliance with MNRE, CEA, DISCOM, and international design standards.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in solar /wind design, materials, and technology.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Energy Engineering
• 5 plus years of proven experience in solar design (ground-mounted)/ wind plant design.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar design and simulation software.
• Strong understanding of solar PV components, design standards, and project lifecycle.
• Proficiency in wind pro, WAsP with strong understanding of design requirements, BoP etc.,
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical SLDs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in grid-connected solar/wind projects (utility scale).
• Exposure to design for large-scale EPC projects (100 MW and above).
• Knowledge of SCADA, remote monitoring systems, and string sizing techniques.
• Experience with

  Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

  or

  Hybrid (Solar + Wind + Storage)

  configurations.
• Familiarity with

  PSP (Pumped Storage Projects)

  integration.
• Knowledge of

  renewable energy regulations and policy frameworks

  in Andhra Pradesh and CERC/CTU norms.
