Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled resource responsible for providing technical assistance and support for the freight pay systems used within the company. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving system issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the seamless operation of freight payment processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of freight pay systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the freight payment system, addressing user inquiries and resolving system-related issues promptly.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system errors, bugs, and performance issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Assist users in understanding and utilizing the freight pay system effectively, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and updates to ensure the system remains secure and operational.
  • Work closely with IT and other technical teams to resolve complex system issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of system issues, resolutions, and user feedback to inform future improvements.
  • Partner with logistics, finance, and accounting teams to understand system requirements and deliver solutions that align with business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and contribute to the development of best practices for system use.
  • Participate in system testing and quality assurance to ensure new features and updates function correctly.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Previous experience in technical support or system administration, preferably in logistics or freight payment systems.
  • Familiarity with freight payment systems, ERP software, and basic programming or scripting languages.
  • Strong experience working and debugging Java Standard Edition, with front-end development or HTML required.
  • Strong experience with troubleshooting of Atomic Scheduling Tool
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • High degree of accuracy in diagnosing and documenting system issues.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills *:

  • Understanding of freight payment systems, including their functionalities and common issues users might encounter.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that integrate with freight payment operations.
  • Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, and databases to assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Awareness of logistics and transportation processes to understand the context in which the freight pay system operates.
  • Understanding of system security practices to help ensure the freight pay system remains secure and compliant with company policies
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, using logical and methodical approaches to problem-solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
  • Excellent customer service skills to address user inquiries and ensure user satisfaction with system support.
  • Ability to maintain detailed records of issues, resolutions, and user feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Skills in providing user training and support to help users effectively utilize the system and understand its features.
  • High level of accuracy in documenting issues and following through on resolutions.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and system updates, maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize issues, and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, logistics, finance, and accounting, to address system needs and improvements
