Job Title: Solar Technician Location: on-site Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Mid-Level / Experienced Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Power Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires hands-on fieldwork, technical knowledge of solar systems, and a commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems including panels, inverters, mounting structures, and wiring. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, and installation manuals. Ensure compliance with local codes, safety standards, and company procedures. Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and electricians. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, and service reports. Educate customers on system operation and basic maintenance. Requirements: ITI/Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or relevant technical field. Minimum 2 years of experience in solar installation and maintenance. Familiarity with solar tools, testing instruments, and safety protocols. Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments. Basic understanding of DC/AC electrical systems and battery-inverter integration. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites. Preferred Skills: Experience with hybrid/off-grid systems and solar inverters (e.g., UTL, SMA, Growatt, etc.). Knowledge of net metering, DG synchronization, and LT panel connections. Certifications (e.g., MNRE, NISE, or other solar-related training) are a plus.
