• Installation: Assemble and install solar panels, racks, and associated electrical equipment on residential and commercial structures.
• Electrical work: Connect the solar system to the building's electrical system, wire components, and ensure all electrical work complies with codes.
• System testing and maintenance: Test the functionality of newly installed systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing systems.
• Planning and layout: Plan the layout of solar panels according to site conditions and customer needs, often using blueprints and diagrams.
• Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, especially when working at heights, and ensure the installation meets all building and electrical codes.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, including materials, labor hours, and any modifications or repairs.
• Customer communication: Explain system operations to customers, answer their questions, and provide recommendations for maintenance.
