Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Solar Technician to install, maintain, and repair solar energy systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with photovoltaic (PV) systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting solar components. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work. Key Responsibilities: Install, test, and commission solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops and ground-mounted structures. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on solar panels, inverters, and other system components. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to ensure system performance. Connect solar panels to the electrical grid and ensure proper wiring according to safety regulations. Conduct site assessments and evaluate structural conditions for solar installations. Follow blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions during installations. Adhere to local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Work collaboratively with engineers, electricians, and other team members. Maintain records of installations, inspections, and repairs for documentation purposes. Requirements: Proven experience as a Solar Technician or in a related field. Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and photovoltaic (PV) installations. Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety procedures for solar work. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Physical fitness to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license (preferred) and willingness to travel to job sites. Education & Certifications: Diploma or Degree in EEE (Preferred). Vocational training or certification in solar energy technology (Preferred).
