Responsibilities & Duties:

1. System Design and Layout:

   Develop detailed electrical designs and layouts for solar energy systems. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical components into overall project designs.

2. Equipment Specification:

   Select and specify key electrical components such as inverters, switchgear, transformers, and protection devices. Evaluate and recommend equipment vendors based on technical specifications, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

3. Technical Documentation:

   Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, load calculations, and specifications. Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness for seamless project execution.

4. Solar Panel Array Sizing & Optimization:

   Perform solar PV array sizing, string design, and layout optimization to maximize energy yield. Conduct shading analysis and determine tilt and orientation for optimal system performance.

5. Coordination with Project Teams:

   Collaborate closely with civil engineers, structural designers, project managers, and installation teams. Ensure electrical designs integrate effectively with mechanical and civil components.

6. Compliance & Standards:

   Ensure all designs meet relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and renewable energy regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS standards). Stay updated on advancements in solar technologies and design practices.

7. Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

   Design and implement monitoring systems to track system performance. Analyze operational data and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.

8. Cost Estimation:

   Support project management and procurement teams with cost estimation and budgeting of electrical components. Optimize designs to balance performance, safety, and cost.

9. Client Interaction:

   Communicate technical details and design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders. Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus).
  
• Proven experience in

  solar electrical system design

• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD

  ETAP

  , or equivalent design and simulation tools.
