Solar Structural Design Engineer

As a Solar Structural Design Engineer at Avghni Solar, you will play a key role in designing and optimizing solar support structures. Youll be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and efficiency of solar installations. Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Structural Design and Analysis:

   Develop detailed structural designs for solar mounting systems and foundations. Conduct structural analyses to ensure designs meet safety standards and project specifications.

2. Material Selection & Specification:

   Select appropriate materials for solar support structures based on factors like load-bearing capacity, durability, and environmental impact. Work with procurement teams to ensure that material selections align with design requirements.

3. Design Optimization:

   Optimize structural designs to improve cost-effectiveness, performance, and system efficiency. Use engineering software and simulations to refine designs and achieve optimal configurations.

4. Compliance with Codes & Standards:

   Ensure all structural designs comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations. Stay current with updates to structural engineering standards and integrate them into design practices.

5. Coordination with Project Teams:

   Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and installation teams, to seamlessly integrate structural designs into project plans.

6. Quality Assurance & Testing:

   Implement quality assurance measures throughout the design process, including prototype testing and validation. Address any issues identified during testing and work on corrective actions.

7. Budgeting & Cost Estimation:

   Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to estimate the cost of structural components for budgeting and procurement purposes. Optimize designs to achieve cost-efficient solutions.

8. Client Interaction:

   Engage with clients to understand project requirements and preferences regarding solar support structures. Present technical information clearly and address client inquiries or concerns.

9. Continuous Learning:

   Stay informed about advancements in structural engineering, solar technologies, and industry best practices. Participate in professional development and training programs to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus).
   
2. Proven experience in structural engineering, specifically focusing on solar support structures.
   
3. Proficiency in structural design software and engineering analysis tools.
   
4. Strong knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and structural design principles.
