Software Testing Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for manual testing of web, mobile apps, and e-commerce platforms. This includes developing test plans, creating test cases and scripts, conducting compatibility testing, preparing test reports, and tracking defects. You should have knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and MS SQL. Additionally, you must be familiar with agile methodology and automation testing. Key Responsibilities: - Have at least 4 years of experience in manual testing of web applications and mobile software products. - Willingness to work on a shift basis. - Proficient in creating test plans, developing test cases/scripts, and setting up test environments. - Strong experience in scripting and conducting compatibility testing. - Hands-on experience with test report preparation, defect tracking, and related workflows. - Minimum of one year experience in testing mobile applications. - Understanding of e-commerce product deployment lifecycle, interoperability, migrations, and software release/patch upgrades. - Good knowledge of testing life cycle and testing phases. - Proficiency in automation using Selenium/Web Driver. - Experience in testing web services, SOAP UI Pro, and APIs (REST/SOAP). - Familiarity with agile and waterfall delivery, life-cycle management tools (JIRA/Rally/Rational Concert/Quality Center), software testing standards, methods, and conventions. - Strong team management skills and ability to work as a task force. - Effective communication skills (verbal & written) to convey messages to other teams. - Expertise in leadership skills and team handling. - Technology-oriented, able to work independently on assigned tasks, energetic, enthusiastic, and takes ownership of tasks.
