Software Tester / QA Engineer (2+ Years Experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester / QA Engineer with 2+ years of experience in manual and automation testing, including mobile automation using Appium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery across web, mobile, and API platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
• Perform various types of testing: functional, regression, integration, system, performance, usability, and exploratory.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or similar.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved and quality standards are met.
• Automate test cases using Appium for Android and iOS platforms.
• Maintain and enhance mobile automation test suites.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent behavior across platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, with exposure to both manual and automation testing.
• Strong experience in mobile application testing and automation using Appium.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.
• Experience in writing and executing SQL queries for database validation.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
• Exposure to tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
• Good understanding of API testing concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with cloud-based device farms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
