Software Team Lead

Role Overview: The Distributed Data Systems Team at Dataflare is seeking talented engineers who are passionate about designing and deploying distributed data systems at PB cloud-scale. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in understanding business requirements, mentoring a team of engineers, designing high-performance storage algorithms, and contributing to the foundational programming model of the data platform. Key Responsibilities: - Understand and craft solutions based on business requirements - Mentor and develop a team of engineers - Design and implement performant, parallelized, and multi-threaded storage algorithms - Contribute to the scheduling and programming model for all features of the data platform Qualifications Required: - Proficient in software development using C and C++ - Strong organizational and leadership skills - Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, cloud storage, and database systems - Familiarity with Apache Spark and Apache Parquet - Experience with test-driven development - Proficiency in software engineering tools - Excellent presentation and communication skills Additional Details: Dataflare is looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science and at least 5-10 years of experience in leading and building production-grade systems.
