About the Position

Software QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases using Java and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing for web-based and backend applications
• Validate REST APIs and ensure compliance with HTTP protocols and standards
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and global teams to ensure high-quality releases
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Continuously improve QA processes, test coverage, and automation efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience

  as a Software QA Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong programming skills in

  Java and TypeScript/JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with

  test automation frameworks

  such as

  JUnit, TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Puppeteer

• Solid understanding of

  HTTP protocols and RESTful APIs

• Practical experience with

  CI/CD tools

  including Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with

  Agile SDLC

  and modern QA best practices
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience working with

  global teams across time zones

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and domains
• Should be able to

  solve coding questions

  that involve

  String Manipulation

  (e.g.,reversing strings, finding longest substring, pattern matching, or parsing text)

Preferred Add-ons:

• Experience in

  NGS software

  bioinformatics applications
