Software QA Technical Lead

As a Software QA Technical Leader at Cisco Meraki, you will play a crucial role in accelerating the release of the latest firmware features to customers. Your primary focus will be on testing various aspects such as Switching Layer2, Layer3, IPv4, IPv6, Multicast, and Security Features both manually and using automated test suites. You will also be responsible for updating the Test Automation Framework to enhance its scope and building new feature test automation scripts to support the future growth of the product. Your work will contribute to the development of technology that is intuitive, secure, and accessible for everyone. Your key responsibilities will include: - Testing Switching Layer2, Layer3, IPv4, IPv6, Multicast, Security Features manually and using automated test suites - Updating Test Automation Framework to enhance the Framework scope - Building New Feature test automation scripts to support the future growth of the product - Developing new features in terms of functionality, simplicity, scalability, and availability In order to be successful in this role, you should meet the following minimum requirements: - Proficiency in Python, including building tools or framework modules from scratch - Technical leadership level experience in software engineering test release ownership - Strong proficiency in using traffic generators such as IXIA for automated testing - 8+ years of experience in a production software engineering environment - Strong networking foundational knowledge (LANs, routing, switching, wireless) - Good knowledge of either Layer-2 switching (802.1Q/xSTP/LAG/ARP) or Layer-3 routing (BGP/IP/OSPF/VPN/IPSec/NAT/DHCP), networking technologies, and security features - Understanding of Customer Network Deployment Requirements and Network Design Additionally, the following skills would be beneficial: - Experience developing and troubleshooting in a Linux environment - Working with and writing concurrent programs - Understanding of OS and experience working in both kernel and user space - Experience with Agile methodologies - Excellent communication and presentation skills Cisco Meraki is committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, and collaboration to drive innovation and unlock the full potential of its employees.
