Job Description

Utilize
Astadia Factory tools
to transform mainframe applications to Java-based midrange systems.
Debug and validate
converted Java code
, ensuring functional parity with legacy systems.
Analyze and resolve issues in both
mainframe and converted Java environments
.
Document technical designs, migration strategies, and troubleshooting steps.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and integration.
Collaborate with Cloud engineers to
deploy applications in AWS Batch
.
Mentor junior developers and support knowledge transfer across teams.

All you need is...

7+ years
of experience in
mainframe technologies
(COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS).
2+ years
of hands-on
Java development
experience.
Strong
debugging skills
in both mainframe and Java environments.
Experience with
mainframe-to-Java migration frameworks
is a plus
Familiarity with
Unix/Linux
, shell scripting, and SQL.
Understanding of
AWS
and cloud deployment practices.
Exposure to
Agile and Waterfall
methodologies.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Certifications in
AWS or other cloud platforms
.
Experience with
Python
or other modern programming languages is a plus.
