Description
As a Senior Software Engineer at Splunk AppDynamics, you will contribute to developing, maintaining, and supporting SaaS and on-premises offerings within the observability product suite. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about innovation and eager to tackle the challenges of working on highly scalable systems that manage substantial data volumes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Design and implement highly scalable solutions. - Collaborate with a team of skilled peers across engineering, product management, and customer support. - Develop distributed systems capable of handling high data volume, concurrency, resiliency, and throughput. - Create intuitive user interfaces and visualizations for intricate data and workflows. - Enhance user experience through feature development and the creation of reusable components for the next-generation UI platform. - Design tools for effective visualization and management of large datasets. - Establish robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection and resolution. - Support CI/CD processes and automate testing for data systems. - Stay informed about emerging trends in big data, machine learning, and distributed systems to propose innovative solutions. - Collaborate in an open environment, adapt to evolving team needs, and work collectively to achieve goals. - Utilize technologies such as Kafka, ElasticSearch, Docker, and Kubernetes in various cloud environments like AWS and Azure. Key Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack development, designing, and developing highly scalable, distributed applications, products, or services. - Proficiency in system design concepts and low-level design and implementation for both front-end and back-end. - Strong proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks, with experience in developing user-facing features using Angular/React. - Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, threads, and concurrent programming. - Proficiency in SQL and at least one relational database engine like MySQL/Oracle. - Knowledge of microservices design with expertise in Dockers and Kubernetes. - Expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular. - Skilled in developing and maintaining large Single Page Applications (SPAs). - Experience working with or building unified UI libraries. - Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD). - Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed system environments. - Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changing requirements, scope, and priorities. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with other programming languages like Python, C++, Node JS. - Previous experience in the Observability Space is an added advantage.,
