Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Brightly, a Siemens company, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative and high-performing features for our next-generation software applications. Your role will involve collaborating with top-notch engineers and product teams to design, implement, deliver, and support ambitious products and integrations. Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing: - Drive the design and implementation of innovative features using your deep knowledge of computer science and programming principles. - Develop, integrate, and document libraries and frameworks to scale development across multiple projects effectively. - Build quality into the agile product lifecycle, from requirements to delivery and support. - Create maintainable full-stack solutions that adhere to existing standards and improve them in a professional software engineering environment. - Understand company goals, metrics, and align them with technical goals while advising product owners and UX on technical feasibility. - Support products, identify and resolve production issues, and embed a DevOps mentality within the team. - Serve as a technical lead when needed, stay updated on current technology trends, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement processes. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. - 3-4.5 years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using JavaScript frameworks and REST services. - Proficiency in unit testing, mocking frameworks, automation frameworks, and working in agile methodologies. - DevOps mindset with experience in CI/CD environments and knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, SQL, web programming, and design patterns. - Experience with JavaScript/Typescript, Vue, Vuex, Vuetify, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, Git/SVN, npm/yarn, webpack, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. In addition to the technical requirements, effective communication, partnership, and teamwork skills are essential for this role.
