Software Engineer (Frontend)

As a Software Engineer-JavaScript Frontend at Light & Wonder, your role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing games for the global iGaming market. You will work on debugging, modifying, and providing ongoing support for in-game features, development, and operational tools to ensure smooth gameplay and timely updates. Your technical skills, independent operation, communication abilities, and teamwork will be essential in contributing to the creation of games that captivate our customers. **Principal Duties and Responsibilities:** - Maintain client-side code for desktop and mobile games efficiently. - Develop and support client/server-based applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and more. - Address and resolve production issues by coordinating with different teams. - Identify and implement new tools and processes to support the Development team. **Position Requirements:** **Education:** - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience **Required Experience:** - 2-4 years of software development experience - Strong understanding of JavaScript and its quirks - Experience in Data structures - Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 - Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git - Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming **Preferred Experience:** - Hands-on experience with TypeScript - Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, NodeJS - Experience in other programming languages like Java, C++, Python - Familiarity with front-end build tools like Grunt - Experience in client/server application development - Game Development experience - UI development and animations expertise Light & Wonder is a global leader in creating game experiences that connect iconic titles across various channels.
