Software Engineer

As a Senior Engineer in Group Services Operations at ANZ, your primary responsibility will be to identify, develop, and implement automation solutions that add business value, mitigate risks, and improve customer experience within the Group Service Operations domain. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability of existing unsupported applications, managing production outages, and ensuring timely restoration. Additionally, you will provide valuable advice and recommendations to the business on optimal process automation solutions. Your work will involve delivering solutions in an agile development environment while adhering to the Development Governance framework. You should possess knowledge of various platforms and technologies and understand the diverse IT implications of abstract business requirements. Collaboration across teams, functions, regions, and service centers will be key to your success in this role. To excel in this position, you are expected to have extensive hands-on programming experience in process automation, along with a proven track record in development, testing, and implementation. Proficiency in VBA, SQL, and MS Access is essential, while experience in SharePoint, Python, JavaScript, and React JS will be advantageous. A strategic and commercial mindset, coupled with the ability to drive an adaptive and agile risk culture, will be highly beneficial. You should be adept at fostering collaborative relationships across the organization, influencing stakeholders, and facilitating organizational change. Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and non-technical levels, are essential for this role. While it is not expected for you to possess all the mentioned skills, a growth mindset is highly valued at ANZ.
