Job Description

As a Software Engineer-1 at Mastercard, you will have the opportunity to positively influence the experience of millions of customers by developing Enterprise Applications with quality, within schedule, and estimated efforts. You will be responsible for providing accurate task estimates, writing and executing unit and integration test cases, and performing peer code reviews. Additionally, you will be accountable for complying with organizational processes, policies, protecting intellectual property, and participating in process improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing. To excel in this role, you must possess hands-on experience with core Java, Spring Boot, Spring (MVC, IOC, AOP, Security), SQL, RDBMS (Oracle and PostGRES), NoSQL (preferably Cassandra), Web-services (JSON and SOAP), Kafka, and Zookeeper. You should also have experience in developing microservice applications and deploying them on public clouds like Google, AWS, Azure, or PCF. Proficiency in IntelliJ/Eclipse/My Eclipse IDE, writing Junit test cases, working with Maven/Ant/Gradle, and GIT is essential. Knowledge of design patterns, Agile methodologies, and security concepts and protocols is also required. In addition to the essential skills, familiarity with tools like Mockito, JBehave, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Rally, and Jira is desirable. Strong logical and analytical skills, design skills, and the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and precisely in English (both written and verbal) are personal attributes that will contribute to your success in this role.
