Software Development Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) with 2 to 5 years of experience, your primary focus will be on JavaScript development and testing. You should possess expertise in writing test cases, conducting end-to-end testing using tools like Cypress or Playwright, and executing unit tests. Your responsibilities will include developing robust and scalable web applications, ensuring code quality through comprehensive testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting and debugging code, participating in code reviews, and maintaining proper documentation of testing processes and results. Specifically, your responsibilities will include: - Developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript. - Writing and executing end-to-end test cases with Cypress for comprehensive testing. - Developing and maintaining unit test cases using Cypress or RTL for code functionality and quality assurance. - Collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver optimal solutions. - Troubleshooting code, continuously improving the testing process, and providing feedback during code reviews. To qualify for this role, you should have: - 3 to 5 years of overall experience in JavaScript/TypeScript development. - 2.5+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript development and testing. - 1+ year of experience in writing and executing Unit tests using frameworks like Jest, Cypress, Jasmine, or Karma. - Strong proficiency in Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end testing. - Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and best coding practices. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, tools like Jenkins, Agile development methodologies, and strong problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, knowledge of testing frameworks like Jasmine, Jest, Karma, and familiarity with CI/CD processes and Jenkins.
