Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate for Thermal Image Processing Project at Saveetha School of Engineering located in Chennai. The Research Associate will be responsible for conducting research and developing algorithms for thermal image processing projects. The role includes data collection, preprocessing, algorithm development, and testing of thermal imagery in various applications. The Research Associate will work closely with the research team and project stakeholders to meet project objectives and timelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or higher in Computer Science
• Strong knowledge and experience in image processing and computer vision
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Open CV, Python, MATLAB, or C++
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and machine learning algorithms
• Knowledge of thermal imaging technologies and applications
• Experience with image data collection, preprocessing, and annotation
• Ability to analyze and interpret thermal imaging data
• Good understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
